Shuffle Instructors
At Bollywood Shuffle, we are VERY passionate about dance. Our biggest asset is our team of experienced and dedicated instructors.

 

 

Sarina - Lead Shuffle Instructor
Sarina has been dancing and performing since she was 7 years old. She has studied and performed various dance forms such as Ballet, Hip-hop, Bhangra, and Bollywood. She has helped teach Bollywood dance in California with an instructor trained by Shiamak Davar. Sarina says "I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with Pallavi and help spread the medium of Indian dance here in the St Louis community. Sarina is in her third year as a Instructor at Bollywood Shuffle. Students look forward to taking Bhangra workshops with Sarina!
Sheehan - Shuffle Hip Hop Instructor
Sheehan fell in love with dance when he joined a nationally competitive Bollywood dance team in college.  His final year on the team, he helped choreograph a routine that was performed at one of the most prestigious Bollywood dance competitions in the country.  He also trained as a b-boy with Wash U's WU Cypher, and has danced with breakdancers from all over the US. He has studied bhangra, jazz, and modern dance and is constantly looking for ways to improve and expand his horizons.  When choreographing, he loves to fuse the energy and expression of Bollywood and Indian dance forms with the diverse techiques he has learned in Western styles.
 
Christine - Bollywood Blast Instructor

Christine began dancing in high school with the color

guard and she has continued to pursue training. As an

adult, she has taken classes in Hip Hop, Hawaiian and has few years of belly dance. Christine has fallen in love with the energy and personality that only the Bollywood style can bring. She continues taking classes with Bollywood Shuffle as well as teaching because she believes that dance is a constant learning process. Her Bollywood Blast a.k.a Cardio Bollywood lessons are one of the most popular workshops at Shuffle. She says, "I've found my happy place with Bollywood Shuffle. There are no words to describe the feeling of accomplishment and joy when we learn that final step.The Shuffle community is the best!"

 

Pallavi - Shuffle Instructor

A trained BharataNatyam dancer (under the guidance of Pt. Ravi Sharma), Pallavi has been dancing and performing since she can remember. Some of her fondest memories are associated with choreographing and performing several dances throughout school, college, graduate school and local St. Louis community events. Pallavi has always found the “Bollywood-style” of dance most intriguing and exciting and is a die hard Madhuri Dixit fan. Apart from dancing, Pallavi is also trained in Hindustani classical singing. She says "I was motivated into teaching at Bollywood Shuffle after experiencing the joy of watching my daughter’s Shuffle recital. I am really excited to work with Shuffle students and all the FUN"

 
 
 
Monica - Shuffle Instructor

Monica has studied Bharatnatyam for several years at a reputed school in Lucknow under Annapoorna Subramaniam and Vasanti Subramanium. She is trained in Kathak and has participated in various dance competitions in India. She has worked with children through various avenues – during her Masters in Education Administration, as a school teacher in Kansas City, and when she trained children for Bollywood dances in Kansas City. Monica loves being a part of Bollywood Shuffle - it gives her a chance to inspire kids as they discover the joys of dancing!

 

  

 

 Megan - Shuffle Jazz/Contemporary Instructor

Megan, a St. Louisan graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. There she studied with accomplished teachers and choreographers ranging from The Joffrey Ballet, National Ballet of China, and the Martha Graham Co. to Broadway and beyond.  Megan spent 3 years in New York studying at Broadway Dance Center, Peridance, and Steps On Broadway with renowned dancers and choreographers. She is the new director of a local dance academy where she teaches Ballet, Tap, Jazz, etc to ages 3 - adult!  Megan also has an extensive musical theatre background performing at the MUNY and other venues. Miss Megan says "I can't wait to get into the Shuffle classroom to start this exciting and fun year of dance with a Bollywood flavor!"     

 

 

Swati & Munmun - Instructor duo

Together they ran a Bollywood dance school in India for young kids. Individually Munmun is a professionally trained dancer in Rajasthani folks styles like Bhavai, Terah tali, Kalbelia, Ghoomar, Chari and has been on National Indian Television Doordarshan for theatre. Swati has been trained in forms like Bollywood freestyle, Bhangra, Salsa & Capoeira. As a team they cherish being part of Bollywood Shuffle.."At Bollywood Shuffle, we want to keep teaching and learning an ever-evolving phenomenon of dance, especially Bollywood dance.
